Hello, my name is Marisa and I go by she/her pronouns.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in acute and severe mental illness, though I have experience working with clients with other mental health concerns, ranging from anxiety to depression and other mood disorders. I am honored to be working at Maitri Mental Health and to have been given the opportunity to work with and help a variety of different clients.

I hold a Master’s Degree as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. I worked as a psychiatric registered nurse at the Oregon State Hospital and a psychiatric emergency room in Portland, OR before completing school and starting to practice as a nurse practitioner. I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with mental health crises using a trauma informed approach, striving to meet them where they are. I also enjoy brainstorming and collaborating directly with my patients to create the best treatment plans for their specific needs and wishes.
