My name is Samantha and my pronouns are She/Her/Hers. I am a Behavior Support Specialist at Maitri Mental Health. I believe this field is centered on those that are being served, each person has their own needs, dreams and goals; my goal is to help them achieve as many goals as possible while helping them maintain their mental health. I believe each person should be heard, valued and respected so I strive to be a person that hears them fully. When a person feels like they are being heard and you value them they are able to open and express themselves, they are able to communicate better with those they trust. I have a spot in heart to help those who need it; I want them to feel safe, secure and to have the best life they can possibly have. I love what I do, I love helping people, and I do not dread Monday but am excited because I have a purpose helping those who need it!
I have experience in the Mental Health Field due to family members and past employment, including managing a residential facility for adults. In 2020 I obtained my Bachelors of Science from University of Phoenix and I am currently enrolled in a Masters Program for Special Education.
I am a mother to 3 beautiful children. In my spare time I love to read all different kinds of books, you will often hear an audio book playing in my car while I am driving. I am from the Midwest but moved here from the East Coast, I enjoy exploring all that the PNW has to offer including the breathtaking waterfalls.
