Amanda Nguyen, LICSW, PMH-C
Hello there! My pronouns are she/her/hers.
I have had the privilege to work with a variety of different populations from infants to older adults in different kinds of settings from residential facility, nursing homes, community mental health, hospital, and group private practice. I received my MSW from Eastern Washington University in 2015 and I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a member of the Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color and am certified in perinatal mental health.
I am inspired continuously by those who overcome their vulnerability to reach out for support. Because of this, it is truly important for me to provide the space for individuals to express themselves in a way they feel comfortable and their authentic self. I believe that people are resilient and have the ability to heal if they have the tools and/support. People are their own expert in their lives, and I am here to be a support along with an individual’s journey for self-discovery and growth.
I primarily do individual work with adults and work with the following issues:
-Perinatal mental health
-Coping skills
-Perfectionism tendencies
-Life transitions
The following types of therapy I provide are:
-Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
-Compassion focused
-Motivational Interviewing
-Person Centered
-Strength based
