For the last five years my experience has involved providing a variety of mental health services to children, teenagers, adults and families. Prior to that I gained experience working with youth growing up in some of the most challenging environments imaginable. As a counselor my goal is to walk with you, or with your child, through the unexpected that life has put in front of you. Humans are made to get through challenges together.
As a youth you may be living through abuse or chronic neglect. As an adult you may have to unexpectedly deal with a difficult loss, manage intense anxiety or overwhelming sadness. There is no reason to face these hard times by ourselves. I have experience counseling people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, bereavement and ODD.
Using an evidence-based approach to understand your story and support you through what you are working to overcome; my approach is strengths-based and includes elements of family systems, ACT, DBT, CBT and expressive therapies.
